ABOUT
JWG is contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles. Since its inception in 2015, it has quickly grown a successful roster of both emerging and mid-career artists. With a strong focus on painting, the gallery program has expanded to include sculpture as well as an annual photography exhibition.
Born of James Wright's lifelong passion for the arts, the gallery originated in 2015 as a series of salon-style exhibitions hosted in a downtown LA loft. The shows drew in artists and patrons alike, just as the burgeoning L.A. art scene began gaining global attention. In 2017 Wright founded the namesake gallery, opening a 4,000 sq ft exhibition space that spans three floors of a brownstone building in the Historic Core of downtown Los Angeles. The gallery offers a unique blend of both public and private viewing space that would feel every bit at home in SoHo NY.
Since 2021 the gallery has been operated privately by appointment only.
